The University of Dundee Medical Art Masters Thesis Project Showcase 2020 is Now Open!
Emily Adams is a Biomedical Illustrator and Designer. Her work concentrates on digital illustration, desktop publishing, web design, and 3D modeling for scientific and non-scientific visual communication purposes.
Emily holds a MSc in Medical Art from the University of Dundee and a BA in Biological Illustration from Iowa State University (ISU). Emily worked as a graphic designer for 3-years while at ISU. Additionally during this time, she interned with Los Alamos National Laboratory, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at ISU, and Aboundant.
She has since worked with the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) laying out internal publications and Ninewells Hospital ENT Unit (as a part of her graduate coursework) creating 3D models for surgical trainees. She currently works for the Institute for Childhood Preparedness where she has created over 100 informational graphics on public health and safety topics. Her visuals have been featured in the Journal of Natural Science Illustrators (JNSI), Institute of Medical Illustrators (IMI) Newsletter, and The Plutonium Handbook.
